Why this one is worth it at N5
Every child in Japan knows it, so it's endlessly re-hearable — and the lyrics are one big list of wishes, which means it drills the "want / wish" grammar over and over in the friendliest possible way. The vocabulary is dreamy but simple (sky, dream, fly), and the melody gives you time to hear each word. It's a pure N5 confidence-builder.
The song, part by part
The wish — こんなこと いいな、できたら いいな
It opens on longing: こんなこと いいな、できたら いいな — "things like this would be nice; it'd be nice if I could do them." That 〜たらいいな is 〜たら ("if / when") + いいな ("would be nice") — the soft, dreamy way to say "I wish I could." It's the emotional key of the whole song.
そらを とべたら いいな。
そらを とべたら いいな。
It'd be nice if I could fly through the sky.
〜たら + いいな = 'I wish I could ~'. Exactly the song's pattern.
Learn the conditional behind it in the 〜たら guide.
The dreams — いっぱい あるけど
Then: あんな夢 こんな夢、いっぱい あるけど — "that dream, this dream, there are so many, but…" The 〜けど ("but") sets up the twist: there are countless dreams, but — luckily — someone can grant them.
ゆめは いっぱい あるけど、じかんが ない。
ゆめは いっぱい あるけど、じかんが ない。
I have lots of dreams, but no time.
〜けど = 'but' — joins two clauses with a contrast.

The rescue — みんな 叶えて くれる
The payoff: みんな 叶えて くれる — "(Doraemon) grants them all for me." That 〜てくれる is the key: it marks an action someone does for your benefit. 叶える (kanaeru, to grant) + てくれる = "grants (it) for me." It's warm by design — the whole point of Doraemon.
The freedom — 空を 自由に 飛びたいな
And the most famous wish: 空を 自由に 飛びたいな — "I want to fly freely through the sky." 〜たい turns a verb into "want to": 飛ぶ (tobu, to fly) → 飛びたい. Add the wistful な and you've got the exact ache the song is built on — followed, of course, by 「はい!タケコプター」.
